How to play Monopoly Live online

As a player in Monopoly Live you are betting with real money, there are 6 different bets you can place. You are betting on where the Monopoly wheel flapper will stop, either one of the numbers 1, 2, 5, 10 that also reflect the multiplier you can win on your bet. You can also bet on two different bonus games, the more frequent bonus game is the Monopoly bonus with 2 dice rolls but the bonus round with higher payouts is the one with 4 dice rolls. An additional outcome that you can’t bet on but something that will pay you extra is the CHANCE segment on the wheel.

    The CHANCE segment

If the wheel stops on one of the two CHANCE segments you will be rewarded with a chance card. The chance card will either pay you a cash prize or give you a bonus in the form of a multiplier.

If you win a random cash prize on the chance card you’ll be given back your bet amount as well as the cash prize.

If you get the multiplier bonus on the chance card, your current bets will still be active and another spin will be made on the wheel. In the scenario that the wheel stops a second time, or more times, following a previous chance spin, then you’ll either be awarded with a higher cash prize because of the previous multiplier or in an even better scenario, you’ll get another multiplier to to multiply your previous multiplier with. As an example if you first hit a 5x multiplier and then a 10x multiplier on the second wheel spin of your betting round you’ll have 5x*10x = 50x multiplier.

If the following spin after a multiplier card hits a number that you have placed a bet on you will be paid your winnings times the multiplier.

If you enter the monopoly bonus game after getting one or several multiplier cards, given that you’ve placed a bet on the bonus game, all street multipliers will be multiplied with your multiplier.

The CHANCE segment can really spice up the coming wheel spin(s) as well as your winnings.

Betting and playing the Monopoly bonus game

The Monopoly Live bonus game is played on a virtual monopoly UK board. On top of the Monopoly board replica all streets have prizes in the form of multipliers that will pay out every time you land on them. The Monopoly bonus has a lot of excitement from start to finish, our guide will give you an overview of each step.

    • Entering the bonus game
To enter the bonus game you have 4 chances out of 54 segments if you bet on both the 2 dice rolls bonus, which appears 3 times on the wheel, as well as the 4 dice rolls bonus. The chance to hit the bonus game is almost 7.41% or 1 in 13.5 times. The bonus game starts with the same predetermined multipliers for each street every round.

As you go further on the board the better multipliers the streets will have.
    • Before the bonus game starts
Before the game starts it’s time to build houses and hotels on the streets, this is automatically done by a random number generator. Depending on where the houses and hotels are built they will apply a different multiplier for the amount of houses as well as for the hotel. The railway stations, electric company and the water works starts with a 5x multiplier and free parking starts with a 7x multiplier and these, like in the original game, can’t have houses or hotels built onto them.

After the house and hotel multipliers have been applied it’s time to apply any additional multiplier if you’ve been lucky enough to get a multiplier from the chance segment on the wheel before entering the bonus game.
    • Dice rolls
You either start the bonus game with 2 rolls or 4 rolls, it goes without saying that 4 rolls are better since you have the possibility to collect more multipliers. As in the original game, 2 dice are used and the total value of the dice roll is walked from where Mr Monopoly stands.

The dice are rolled by a mechanical machine and not by a random number generator.

Every time you get doubles on the dice you’ll receive an additional free throw, except for when you are in jail where doubles are used to get you out of jail.
    • Chance and Community chest
If Mr Monopoly stops on chance or the community chest you’ll receive a card with either random cash prize or a fee. If it is a fee it will only be applied to money you have won during the bonus game and if you have anything to pay with, you won’t be left with a negative balance.

There are 3 Chance on the board as well as 3 Community chests.
    • Tax and super tax
If Mr Monopoly stops on tax you’ll have to pay a fee of 10% of your current winnings in the bonus game.
If Mr Monopoly stops on super tax you’ll have to pay a fee of 20% of your current winnings in the bonus game.
    • Jail
If Mr Monopoly stops on ’Go to Jail’ he will move back to the jail space and you’ll have to throw a double of any number to be able to get Mr Monopoly out of jail.
    • Passing GO
If Mr Monopoly passes GO all current multipliers on the Monopoly board will be doubled, this can happen more than once.
    • End of the bonus game
When your dice rolls are over you’ll be paid all your bonus winnings as well as getting your initial bet back. During the payout you’ll also see how many more players won and the total payout of the round as well as the top winners.

    Betting on numbers

There are 4 numbers to bet on on the Monopoly wheel, 1, 2, 5 or 10. The numbers represent the multiplier you’ll get on your bet if the wheel stops on any of the numbers.

Optimal strategy and payouts for Monopoly Live

Playing optimal strategy in Monopoly Live

Let us first start with repeating what you’ve already heard before, the house always wins in the long run and gambling should be seen as a fun activity. There are some that are more fortunate in gambling with a big win, but it’s down to timing and luck rather than any skill. See the potential of winning as a bonus. With that said there are ways to make your gambling smarter and the fun lasting longer.

    • Bankroll management
Make sure that you always don’t bet a too high portion of your current balance or what you are willing to lose. One can argue that the bigger the bet is the bigger the win will be, yes.. But this also needs some perspective, if you bet big from the start and continue to play the bigger bets you are less likely to have money left to hit any of the more exciting and high paying game rounds.

If you are looking to hit the higher paying bonus games there are only 6 out of 54 chances to hit any bonus game, that’s 1 in 9 times or around 11.11%. This is just theoretical math, you might be unlucky and have to wait even more spins to play the bonus games, or you might be lucky and hit one or several bonus games during the first bet. At the end it’s. up to you to balance the betting in accordance with your playing style. low risk with lower rewards and more fun time, something in between or high risk with high reward. Just make sure that you don’t start chasing winnings or your losses too much. This will in 99% of the cases end up in losing the money.
    • Optimal strategy for playing Monopoly Live
The absolutely best way to play Monopoly Live is by playing the outcomes which have the highest RTP, in Monopoly it’s number 2 with 96.23%. This can get quite boring and the only time you’ll have some extra excitement is when you hit the CHANCE segment to get a cash prize or hoping to hit number 2 after getting a multiplier. You’re probably better off playing another money wheel game like Dream Catcher if you want to play a similar game or Blackjack, Baccarat or Roulette if you are looking for a higher RTP.
    • Optimal strategy for hunting the bonus games
If you want to play to get more of the exciting features of Monopoly Live you should only play on 2 rolls and 4 rolls. Although the payout multipliers in these games can be quite big, the frequency of the bonus games aren’t too high, thus making the RTP a bit lower than other games. To get a higher RTP you can mix it up with some numbers, the higher RTP of the numbers the better “blend” RTP you’ll get. Either stick with number 2 only as an addition or also add both number 2 and 10 to have more of the wheel covered and hopefully a better chance of getting paid big when getting a multiplier form the CHANCE segment.

The absolutely worst number to play, RTP wise, is number 5.

At the end of the day it’s just a game and it’s all theoretical, one day the math is against you and another day it’s with you. Play for the fun of it and only play with what you can afford.
